Established in 2008, MTAG Composites specialises in the manufacture of high quality Phenolic, Epoxy and Polyester Glass Fibre and Carbon Fibre reinforced plastic mouldings with a diverse product mix for customers within the aerospace, rail and leisure industries.
Our manufacturing facilities are over 61,000 sq ft based at Coningsby, Lincolnshire UK and employ over 120 employees (some of whom have more than 20 years hands on experience in composite mouldings). MTAG specialise in Phenolic mouldings that give excellent fire retardancy and marine environment properties meeting BS476 Part 6 and 7, BS6853:1999 and EN45545-HL3 standards.

Project Management and Consultancy
The development process can start with a product, a requirement or design concept. We work closely with customers to ensure efficient project delivery, from the outset of a program through first article inspection and sign off, to completion. We understand that choosing the best way forward requires many decisions to be made from design to manufacture, therefore we offer a full consultancy service with many years of hands on experience and knowledge of fibreglass mouldings and applications.
Bespoke Moulding and Tool Manufacture
All tooling and jigs are manufactured in-house, ensuring mould tool longevity and consistent quality of product. From conventional hand lay-up to our own advanced water heated infusion moulding process.
We offer a full pattern making service, from conventional hand build patterns to CNC machined polyurethane, metallic or MDF Blocks
We offer a full painting service for water-based and solvent paint systems.
Skilled production operatives, of which many have more than 20 years of hand on experience, allow constant production of quality components, using all types of processes from closed mould infusion, through to hand lay-up.
Assembly / Finishing
Having full assembly, fitting and finishing facilities allows us to complete finished components to your requirements, including packing and despatch direct to your customer, if required.
3D Scanning and Reverse Engineering
Affordable, state of the art 3D scanning is available to provide highly accurate information on parts, moulds and assemblies with the capacity to reverse engineer, digitally archive, validate tooling vs CAD, wear and tear analysis, First Article Inspection and rapid prototype composite products. The service can be provided at MTAG or off site in virtually all environments.
